ABOUT THE ART:
“The Expulsion of the Money-Changers from the Temple” by Raymond Balze (c. 1850s) This painting captures one of the most radical moments in Jesus' ministry—when He overturned the tables of corruption inside the temple.
It wasn't just about coins or cages. It was about a system that had put profit before people, and religion before righteousness.
Here, Christ is not silent. He is not passive.
He is bold, disruptive, and clear: This is not what God looks like.
We chose this image as a reminder:
Jesus didn’t die to protect power.
He came to tear down what separates us from God—and from each other.
